Asa K. Riggs of RR 1, Perrysville, age 72, died Sunday afternoon, April 4, at the home of a son, Tom of Woodstock, Georgia. He was born at Tangier, September 16, 1909, the son of Chauncey and Lillian Bush Riggs. March 27, 1937, he married Helen Ramsey, who survives. A 1929 graduate of Tangier High School, Riggs was a member of Perrysville United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge, Danville, Illinois, Scottish Rite and the Farm Bureau.

  Also surviving are another son, David of Lafayette; three sisters, Ruth Swaby of Linton, Helena Carter of Covington and Fannie Randolph of RR 2, Kingman; a brother, Robert of Cayuga; and three granddaughters.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Richard Pippin officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery. – thanks to S
